Pleased to announce that our government is investing $30 million in the York Region District School Board to build a new Angus Glen South Elementary School. The school will provide local families with 638 elementary student spaces and 48 licenced child care spaces.

Thanks to all the staff and patrons of the McDonald’s for your support at McHappy Day. Part of the proceeds sold from all food and beverages will be donated to the Ronald McDonald Room at Markham Stouffville Hospital.

Celebrated Toronto Chung Wah Chinese School’s 40th Anniversary at their Outstanding Chinese Education Contribution Award Gala. Kudos for their commitment and passion to carry forward the Chinese culture and education to the younger generations for the past 40 years.

Evergreen offers invaluable support services to individuals and families in Markham-Unionville and beyond who are facing life-threatening illnesses, caregiving challenges, or the loss of loved ones. Their compassionate work truly makes a difference in our community.

Delivering on our promise to parents to get students Back To Basics & focused on skills that will lead to good-paying jobs, our Government is restricting cell phones usage during instructional time & banning vapes from schools.

Our government is strengthening penalties for drivers convicted of stunt driving.
We are introducing legislation that would ensure anyone convicted of stunt driving receives a minimum mandatory licence suspension – one year for a first conviction, three years for a second conviction and a lifetime suspension for a third conviction.

Ontario government is investing up to $1.5 million in the EnAbling Change Program this year to support not-for-profits, municipalities, and other organizations across the province that are developing and implementing innovative initiatives to make Ontario accessible to people of all abilities. Applications are open now until June 27, 2024.
